1. Question: What denomination are you? Answer: we're just Christians.
2. Question: What/who are the church of Christ? Answer: see "who we area" page.
3. Question: Are you connected with any of the following? Answer:
a. Church of Christ of Latter-day saints? Answer: No.
b. United Church of Christ? Answer: No
c. International Church of Christ? Answer: No
d. New Song Church? Answer: No (they meet around the corner).
e. Political parties? Answer: No, politics, politicians or political parties are not the way, the truth or the life, Jesus Christ is.
f. Jesus Christ? Answer: absolutely!
4. Question: What makes your church different from all the others? Answer:
a. We're not interested in talking about our church, we're interested in talking about Jesus Christ's death, burial and resurrection from the dead. 2 Cor.4:5-6
b. We guarantee you'll suffer if you follow Christ. 1 Pet.4:12-19
c. We're not offering self help philosophies, life improvement programs, psychology, self esteem classes, positive thinking or a life enhancing community of nice people being nice to each other. We only offer Jesus Christ; because you're life is a dark sinful wicked hopeless mess and only God through Jesus Christ crucified and raised from the dead can help you. We're no other hope neither have you... 1 Cor.1:17-25. Eph.1:18-19.
d. We don't ignore open hypocrisy and immorality amongst our body of Christians. Jesus taught and practiced love we're called to do the same. Mt.18:10-18, 1 Cor.5:9-13.
e. We guarantee we as Christians will fail you but Jesus Christ never will.
5. Question: Isn't it true that you can't really understand the Bible; it's all a matter of personal interpretation? Answer: NO! Jesus believed the Bible could be understood by all and called all people to follow it Lk.8:21. It would be strange for a God of order and truth to go to so much trouble to give us a book that can't be understood or followed and would effectively cause chaos.
6. Question: If I just live a good life won't I go to heaven when I die? Answer: YES! But you haven't, can't and don't live a good life. If you could, Jesus died on the cross for nothing.
7. Question: What happens if I give up my life and decide to follow Jesus Christ? Answer:
a. You will suffer as Jesus did. Phil.1:29; Lk.9:23
b. You will be rejected by friends, family and those you love as Jesus was. Mt.5:10-11, 2 Tim.3:12.
c. You will serve the thankless and unappreciative as Christ did. Mt.5:43-48
d. You will save this lost world by laying down your life as Jesus did. Eph.5:1-2; 1 Jn.4:7-12
e. YOU WILL LIVE FOREVER. Mt.19:29, Mt.25:31-46, Rom.2:7, Gal.6:8-9
8. Question: How do I become a Christian? What then? Answer: this is a matter of eternal life or death, the biggest decision you will ever make and starts with a serious study of the Bible.
