"And to have the eternal life Jesus offers, we must come in faith and act in faith."

To understand "Who We Are" in the Southbridge assembly you need to understand "Who We Were" as individuals. The "Before" list is not pretty, neither is it exhaustive.

Before...

Some of us were drunkards & drug users. Some of us were involved in different forms of sexual immorality, including fornication - premarital sex, homosexuality, adultery, etc. Some were dishonest and involved in thievery and criminal activities. Other's lives revolved around money, acquiring and gathering material possessions that we didn't need and refused to share; we were greedy. Some were slanderers spending our time talking maliciously about others. Others lived lives filled with lies and malicious hatred, begrudging others success. Some of us became slavishly involved with religious observances, rituals and church attendance. Others roamed hopelessly from one "self-help" group to another. Others selfishly lived lives focused on their family and cared nothing for the suffering and pain of anyone else. In most of our lives one or more of the above controlled us, becoming the point to our existence and in reality became our "god". 1 Cor 6:9-11; Col 3:5-10; Titus 3:3-8.

After...

The good news is that Jesus Christ, who is very much alive and well and in absolute control of the universe, saw our individually hopeless lives and lovingly called us into a personal relationship with Him and into a community based in and on the love of Jesus Christ seen in the cross. The Southbridge assembly is a rescued community based in and on the love of Jesus Christ seen in His sacrifice on the cross.

The Christians in the Southbridge assembly went from sin and death to righteousness and eternal life through Jesus Christ crucified and raised from the dead. We were lost in the darkness but were brought into and now walk in the light of Christ. At one time we were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, and He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. Rom.6;11-13, Ehp.5:8, Titus 3:3-8

To sum things up, the Southbridge church of Christ is a group of people who are "all about Jesus"; talking about Jesus Christ and trying to live like Jesus Christ. It would be safe to say, "it's all Jesus" with us.
